Life's a journey we never choose...

Life's a journey we never choose. You didn't choose us neither did we, but God. Your exemplary character as a good Son, brother, father, uncle and friend to all was a natural and deliberate act of God. As a great son, you protected, preserved, provided for and defended the entire family. Your love to the entire family, to all your parents -both biological and otherwise - brought immerse joy and happiness. As a big brother to the entire family, you defended your title. You never fell short of helping, guiding and providing for us all. You gave freely and happily and we so love the sweet "sarcasm" that usually came with those moments. LOL brother! . You loved to pull the trigger just a little to get us worked up but we would never worry or fear because we knew the price that came with it was greater. You sheilded us from unforseen perils by your great nature as a defender of all. I particularly and clearly remember my secondary to University years as the period where you had great impact in my life. Your sisters and brothers are all weeping today because we are helpless and cannot bring back time. Your children, nieces and nephews have their own very special memories of you which they'll all live to testify. Thanks brother, thanks Daddy Lokah, thanks Uncle Lokah, I say thanks "bonsoir". As a father and husband, you acted like a pillar, king of the Jungle, the Lion of the Land. You showed fatherly love to your children , yet armed them for life ahead. By your own very courageous yet fatherly nature, you've always encouraged your son Cyril to grow up as a man of valor and honor. He will remember and will make sure his brothers and sister (Damaris, Ngomba and Dan) follow suit. They will always have a fun and memorable picture of you in their mind. Ah! and to your dear wife Elisabeth, (Ma Eli as we all call her) you stood up and worked hand in hand to uphold the family. God blessed you with a 'Lioness' for a wife. A great fighter, protector and comforter of the family. As the old adage goes 'behind every successful man, there is a successful woman.' How else can we validate this statement? You leave behind a strong pillar who will dot the "I's" your missed, for your strength and faith in her -even though not seen now -will remain with her always. Finally, brother, finally, as a friend to all, the world is 'buzzing' at your departure. If only you could take a peak right now to see how you're greatly missed. The stories that we all hear from those with whom you have interacted with one way or the other have been enormous. Fun stories, stories of gratitude, stories of joy, stories of encouragement are all pouring at our feet. Whe -er-er ! Mola Loks! We miss you more than we can say. In many special ways we say: Farewell(english) Au revoir(french) whende gwammu(mopkwe) Ba Bye(pidgin) Arrivederci(from Italy) Adios(spanish) shalom (Hebrew) Zai Jian(chinese) Till we meet again. Love till eternity Nicole
